Aviation incident, Caloundra

Police are at Caloundra Airport after a plane crashed upon landing.

Around 11.50am, the plane was landing at the airport on Pathfinder Drive when it flipped.

Preliminary information suggests four people were on board at the time of the incident.

All four have now been removed from the plane, with two – including the pilot – sustaining serious injuries.

Those two have been transported to hospital – the pilot is to be airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit has been advised.
